Gear

I thought it would be nice to share with everyone the gear I use. Luckily I already have some pretty good stuff to get me started, but guitar is one of those hobbies where you always feel the need to get newer, better, gear. You hear one of your favourite guitarists, and want to sound like them. Well, for now I'd say I'm pretty content with what I've got.

Guitar:
A "Partscaster" my brother, his friend, and I built/put together for my first electric guitar. We bought a body and painted it in our garage, and bought the bridge, pickgaurd, pickups, and other hardware online. The neck came from an old Mexican Strat my friend had. It turned out amazing. It feels great and sounds great (it has Seymour Duncan pickups) and it's super cool because I got to make it look pretty much however I wanted.

Amp:
Fender Excelsior Pro. Surf Green. Coolest looking amp you can get in my opinion. It's super simple - just has a volume knob, tremolo circuit, and bright/dark switch which my brother and I modded into a tone knob. It has a really nice clean tone that's great for building on with pedals. I'm super happy with it.

Pedals:
From right to left: First is my polytune. It's a tuner. Pretty simple. Next is the Boss BD-2 "Blues Driver" (with the Keeley mod) that my brother built for me. It also has a boost beside it but in the same box. I got a Blues Driver because the frontman from one of my favourite bands uses one. It has a nice and natural, tubey sound, and gets pretty fuzed out when you crank the drive. Next in line is a Marshall "Guv'nor" distortion pedal. The last one on the left is a TC Electronic "Hall of Fame" reverb pedal. I bought it for the spring reverb sound because my amp doesn't have reverb but found a bunch of other sounds that I love. It's always on. The little silver one on top is part of a mod my brother did to my amp that makes it so I can turn on the tremolo from my pedal board instead of walking over to my amp which isn't convenient live.
